Privacy policy

This policy explains how Smart Device Cleaner, provided by Cyborg009k, handles information when you review storage, manage eligible files, and use advertising-supported features. It also covers this developer website.

Developer, support and privacy contact: cyborg009k@gmail.com.

Files and information on your device

The app may access shared internal storage, Downloads, supported SD cards, media, documents, APK files, archives and related metadata such as names, sizes, types, dates, durations and locally generated thumbnails. File scanning and classification run on your device. We do not upload scanned personal files or their contents to a developer-owned server or provide them to advertisers.

On supported Android versions, All Files Access supports the core file manager. It does not expose Android’s protected system root, other apps’ private storage, Android/data or Android/obb. SD-card availability and write access depend on Android, granted access and the device.

For the Apps tools, the app reads information about apps Android makes available to it, such as app names, icons, package names, versions and storage sizes. Optional Usage Access supports per-app storage estimates and review information. These tools process this information locally; the developer does not upload your installed-app list to a server or supply it to advertisers.

Your choices and permissions

Nothing is silently deleted or moved. You review selections and confirm file actions; Android may request an additional confirmation. Permission requests and special-access settings are separate from the app’s privacy notice. You can revoke access through Android Settings.

Optional permissions support notifications and usage-access features. Media or legacy storage permissions may be needed on certain Android versions. Restricted access can limit the features and files available.

If you choose Share or open a file in another app, Android provides access to the recipient app you select. That app handles the shared information under its own policies. Deleting a selected file may be permanent; review the confirmation before proceeding.

Local records and backups

The app keeps settings, scan/cleanup history, exclusions, view preferences, permission-setup records and any local entitlement cache on your device. Use Settings → Privacy & Data → Erase local app data where available, clear the app’s storage in Android Settings, or uninstall it to remove app-owned records. This does not erase personal files or exported backups in shared storage.

If Android backup or device transfer is enabled, a limited set of app-list display preferences may be backed up or transferred by Android or your device provider. The app’s backup rules exclude scan metadata, cleanup history, folder grants, purchase entitlements and personal files. Backup copies and restored preferences are also subject to your device provider’s backup controls and retention policies.

For portable backups, you select content and whether to encrypt the archive. Unencrypted archives can be read by anyone who obtains them. Backup encryption passwords are not stored by the app and cannot be recovered if lost. Keep a separate copy of any important backup before clearing app data or uninstalling.

Google advertising services

The app integrates Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads, and Google’s User Messaging Platform for privacy choices. When these services are used, Google and advertising partners may receive your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), advertising or app-set identifiers, ad/app interactions, and diagnostic information. These services use such information for advertising, measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention, subject to applicable choices and service settings.

This is separate from file scanning. We do not send scanned file contents to advertisers or sell your personal files. The app does not request precise-location permission for its cleaner or file-manager features. A generic consent message may describe partner capabilities; that does not mean this app reads GPS coordinates from your device.

Where required, Google’s consent tools request advertising choices. You can revisit the app’s advertising privacy options when available, and use Android’s advertising settings to reset or delete your advertising ID. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all processing needed to deliver permitted ads or prevent fraud. Privacy choices do not grant file permissions or authorize cleanup.

Advertising data is processed by Google and relevant partners on their systems, not in a developer-owned database of your files. Their processing and retention may take place in countries outside your own. See Google’s Privacy Policy, information from apps using Google services, and the partner information available in the consent message.

Google Play and payment availability

Paid Premium service is still being prepared. Some versions may show upgrade or restore controls and ask Google Play for product availability or purchase status. Where Google Play returns purchase information, the app can receive a product identifier, purchase state and purchase token. Google Play handles payment-account information; the developer does not receive your payment-card or bank-account details.

The planned developer-hosted payment-verification service is not currently in operation. This policy does not describe a live developer-held purchase database. Before activating that service, we will update this policy to explain the purchase information sent, its storage, retention and deletion options. Google retains its own account and transaction records under its policies.

Retention and deletion requests

Local app records remain until the app removes or replaces them, or you erase them using the controls described above. Exported files and backups remain where you saved them until you remove them. Clearing or uninstalling this app does not erase Android backup copies, Google’s advertising data, or Google Play records. Use the relevant provider’s controls for those records; for Google, see data retention and Data & privacy controls.

The app does not require a developer-created account. If you email support, we receive the address and information you provide and use them to answer your request. We retain correspondence only as reasonably needed to resolve support issues, keep relevant support records or meet legal obligations. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information we hold, or ask about other applicable privacy rights. We may need to verify your request; legal retention requirements may limit deletion. We cannot directly erase records controlled independently by Google or another provider.

Security and children

The app uses Android permission mechanisms and encrypted connections for supported online services. No security method guarantees absolute protection. Smart Device Cleaner is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact the privacy address above.
